WORSHIP:

Sunday School: 9:30 AM
Sunday School classes are offered for all ages. These classes are an informal time to study God's Word in a small group and share God's work in everyday life. Whether you are an adult, a teen, or a child, Berean Bible Church has a specific class just for you.

Sunday Morning Worship Service: 10:45 AM
Sunday morning worship includes a time of announcements, greeting, prayer, hymns and choruses, special music, offering, monthly communion, and a message from the Scriptures. It is a time for people to gather and learn more about the God who loves them and discover His purpose and plan for their life. With a verse by verse, expository approach to the Bible, our Pastor teaches the whole counsel of God's Word with regard to God's plan for the ages. He encourages us and challenges us to grow in our daily walk with God.

Sunday Evening Worship Service: 6:30 PM
This informal, family style service includes singing, prayer, Bible reading quiz, offering, and Bible Study. Occasionally, we have hymn sings, movie nights, a special guest speaker or missionary feature.

Wednesday Evening Service: 7:15 PM
The evening begins with singing, small group praise and prayer, followed by a Bible lesson. This relaxed atmosphere is an opportunity for people to connect in the middle of a busy week and encourage one another through fellowship, prayer, and studying God's Word. There are also specific programs for Youth and Children on Wednesday night.

MUSIC:
Music is an integral part of worship at Berean Bible Church. With a unique blended style of traditional hymns and contemporary choruses, people offer songs of praise to a loving and forgiving God. There are many opportunities for people to participate in various music ministries at Berean.

Congregational Singing
During the Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening worship service, people gather for Bible study, prayer and singing. We sing both traditional and contemporary hymns and choruses, often accompanied by keyboard, guitar, and other instruments. One of our congregation's favorite hymns is "It Is Well With My Soul."

Special Music
The purpose of Special Music is to encourage people's hearts in the Lord and lift up the name of Christ in praise. During the morning service, adults and/or children sing a song or play a musical instrument selection. Our church encourages people to sign up for a specific day to serve as a soloist, in a duet, or as a group.

Praise Team
The Praise Team leads worship during the Sunday morning chorus time. This team consists of singers, guitarists, keyboard players, and rhythm section who desire to honor God in this heartfelt avenue of worship.

Orchestra
The Berean Orchestra is a church ensemble encouraging musicians to develop and use their gifts for the Lord. The orchestra plays during special music and events. Instrumentalists often accompany hymns and choruses during Worship Services. The orchestra practices after the evening service from 7:45-8:15 PM.

CHILDREN:
Children are important to God and children are important to our loving fellowship of believers in Northeast Philadelphia. Proverbs 22:6 says, "Train up a child in the way he should go and, when he is old, he will not depart from it." Our desire at Berean Bible Church is to guide children's hearts to know Jesus Christ through God's life-changing Word.

Nursery
Infant (newborn-1 years) and Toddler (2-3 years) nurseries are available during Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening church services. Our nurseries provide a nurturing environment where children explore God's world through age appropriate toys, books, and music. Children learn from an early age about Jesus' love through our caring staff of trained volunteers.

Sunday School
Children's Sunday School classes are offered for Toddler (2 & 3 years), Primary (4-6 years), and Elementary (7-10 years). Visual and hands on Bible lessons, Bible memorization, and Bible songs make Sunday School a foundational tool to teach children about God. Dedicated teachers lead this interactive Bible program from 9:30-10:30 AM.

Junior Church
Junior Church is an educational children's program during the second half of the morning worship service. At 10:45 AM, children worship with their families in the church sanctuary. Before the sermon begins, children ages 4-8 follow their teacher downstairs for a Bible story, topic-related game/craft and snack.

Kids Bible Club

Kids have fun learning practical Bible concepts through songs, games, and hands-on Bible learning centers. To maximize learning potential, we have separate developmentally appropriate Bible lessons for younger and older elementary ages. Special events include a Fall Harvest Night, Christmas Pageant, theme related parties, and Gospel outreach activities, including a roller-skating night.

Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is a dynamic Gospel outreach program for children from K-6th grade. Our evening sessions run from 7-9 PM during the second week of July. Lively songs, exciting dramas, Bible lessons, creative crafts, active games, and yummy snacks are included in five consecutive nights of fun and learning.

Additional Children's Ministries
Jesus says in Mark 10:14: "Permit the little children to come unto me and forbid them not; for of such is the kingdom of God." As a father and grandfather, our pastor understands the importance of children's ministries. One of the many ways Pastor Bob connects with children is through exciting Bible object lessons and fun Bible question and answer games.

Object Lessons
Our pastor often encourages children to gather in the front of the sanctuary where he sits with them and shares an exciting Bible object lesson. The children's faces fill with wonder as they see a Bible truth shown in a new and memorable way. Adults love viewing these object lessons too!

Bible Question & Answers
Family Devotions is important to our pastor and his wife. To encourage families to read God's Word as a family unit, one Sunday night a month, children answer questions to an assigned Scripture passage. Children especially enjoy special prizes awarded after the church service.

OUTREACH:
Our congregation is actively involved in supporting local and foreign missions to further the Gospel of Jesus Christ at home and around the world.

LOCAL MISSIONS
Often people forsake city ministries for an easier assignment in the country or suburbs. The Lord is still calling for help in the city the way He called out long ago, "Whom shall I send and who will go for us?" Only Isaiah responded, "LORD, here am I, send me." (see Isaiah 6:8) Will you obey the Lord and help us share Christ with the lost in the Philadelphia area?

Door-to-Door Evangelism
Berean Bible Church avidly engages in door-to-door evangelism. Teams from our church go out into our community to share God's message of love and forgiveness. Through Gospel tracts and personal testimony, we are bringing the saving message of Jesus Christ to our neighbors.

The Evangelization Society of Philadelphia, Inc.
